The cake that started it all !!

This is the cake that started it all! I was asked to make a one year of dating anniversary cake. I really was just going to do some pretty flowers, but then I decided to try something different. My favorite part of this cake (and it was a last minute touch) is the little butterfly, but in relation to the couple it is a pretty big butterfly...Smiles

A warm welcome home cake

This cake was a warm welcome home cake. The recipients were coming home from an Alaskan cruise, their 50th high school reunion, and while they were away family and friends remodeled the inside of their home. So, I did my best to incorporate all of these meaningful items on their welcome home cake.
The cruise ships, tools and plaque are made out of fondant. The rest of the cake is covered in butter cream and airbrushed to give a skylike look. I used a lot of different tools and had a lot of fun making this cake.

A quick cake

Sometimes there is no time for intricate decorating. This bright cake was easily decorated with a few cut out flowers in alternating colors and some simple rolled roses. The cake is white with white butter cream icing.

The Wild One Cake

This cake had a lot of elements requested....Vanisha (for her fabulous 20th birthday) wanted purple, pink, orange, green with yellow (the inside of the cake is very very yellow), and flowers, hearts, stars with leopard print. Wow, I managed to get everything on it. Yes, there were stars shooting out of it!!

Ice Cream Sundae Cake

This cake was for another coworker who is bananas for her boyfriend. The cake was white cake, but colored Carolina Panthers colors. The ice cream scoops (the icing) were flavored strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate with fondant cherries on top. What a fun treat!!

Hello Kitty Cake

This was a fun cake to make for my friend at work. Happy Belated Birthday! I used an oval pan for her head and Rice Krispy treats for the ears. The bow was a thin layer of gumpaste covered in butter cream. The cake was yellow cake covered with butter cream icing.

WWF Cake

This WWF cake was made for Kassey who was turning 15. The cake was white with butter cream icing. The logo and black mat were a fondant/gumpaste mix.

Mady's 15th Birthday Cake

I created this cake over the weekend for a dear friend's daughter. Mady's only request was that it had pink and green on it. The cosmetic bag is covered in butter cream, the embellishments are made from fondant, and the cake was dark chocolate fudge.
