Skull Cake

Happy Halloween!! I created this cake for my friends at work (we decided to have a last minute party today). The bugs are edible as well. Their bodies are whole pitted dates, their wings are caramel squares rolled out thin, cut out in a wide horseshoe shape, and their heads are M&Ms. I filled the eye sockets, nose, and mouth with black piping gel. The teeth are fondant, and the strawberry cake is covered in buttercream.

A Gator Cake

A Gator cake to sweeten the mood. Unfortunately, for a few good friends of mine (HUGE Gator fans), the Gators have taken several hard knocks this year losing 3 games in a row. On the bright side, the season is not over yet and hopefully they will pull out some wins. Go Gators Go!! The cake is dark chocolate fudge with buttercream icing. The Gator logo is a frozen buttercream transfer. MMMmmmm, I love chocolate cake!

A Late Night Cake

I  just returned home from the beach, and I was in the mood for some cake. That would also give me the opportunity to use my new camera. YAY!! So far, I am very impressed with the camera. I took some fantastic beach pictures (sunrises and sunsets and birds and stuff), but I really need to learn more of the functions. This picture is not too bad. :o)

Football Cake

This simple football cake was headed to a party that I did not want to take a side on. It is more of a "Go Team(s) Go" cake. It is a football cake on top of a 1/4 sheet cake, so there is plenty for everyone. The cake is dark chocolate fudge and has a delicious chocolate frosting. MMMmmmmm!
