More Mice :o)

Wow, another cake that was needed on short notice. This cake was made for the owner of my apartment complex. I was just telling him about a few of my projects I had recently done, and he said he would like a few of the mice for dessert tonight (his grandson was spending the night). Of course, I had to run to the store for the strawberries :o) I really think the mice are adorable. The cake is strawberry cake with white buttercream icing airbrushed red.

A Red Velvet Christmas Cake

This cake was ordered last minute. I had quite a few cheesecakes, cookie bars, and specialty cakes due on Christmas Eve, but I just could not say no :o). It was for a co-worker, who likes things plain. I decided to add decorations that could be easily picked off and still add a festive feel. The cake was a hit! The children really loved the sweet fondant decorations. The red velvet cake is covered in cream cheese frosting. Yummy!!

Baby Mickey Cake

This cake was for Jaylen's first birthday! Jaylen is one of the happiest babies I have seen. He had great big smiles and lots of laughter this morning when I was dropping the cake off. I bet he loved his Mickey Mouse party, everything was adorable. Baby Mickey was a frozen buttercream transfer on white cake and white buttercream icing with modeling chocolate (candy melts) for the lettering.

And More Micey Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for my Christmas party at work. The bodies of the mice are strawberries dipped in white chocolate. The ears were made ahead of time and are dots of white chocolate, and brushed with pink pearl dust. For the eyes I started with an edible pen, but it did not seem to want to write on the chocolate. I then dotted the eyes on with a brush and melted chocolate. The tails and ears were attached with white chocolate, and the entire mouse was attached to a chocolate cookie (with more chocolate). Finally, they were placed on top of a cupcake.  They were very delicious!

Elmo Cake

This was the original cake for Jamariya's birthday. As the guest list grew (needing more cake), I decided to try my hand at a 3D cake pictured below. This is a vanilla cake with buttercream icing, and Elmo is a frozen buttercream transfer. :o)

The Smash Cake

I thought that Elmo's head would make a cute smash cake for little Jamariya. I used my smallest oval pan. I airbrushed the cake for a beautiful red color. The eyes, nose, and mouth are fondant cut outs. The cake is vanilla with buttercream icing.

Mmmmm, German Chocolate Cake!!

This German chocolate cake was made for Stephon who is turning ??. I think that men are worse than women about telling their age :o) This is one cake that I will have to make for myself. I used the recipe from Hershey's Recipe Collection cook book, and it was just so mouthwatering to make! Happy Birthday Stephon!!
